Abstract. The article focuses on a short essay published by Max Horkheimer in 1970, entitled “On the risk of an administrated world”. Here the reflections of the founder of the ‒ so called ‒ “Frankfurt School” dwell on the relationship which in modern society is established between the concepts of “truth”, “science” and “correctness”, pushing his critical theory to formulate the possibility and necessity of a «Reform der Bildung»: namely, a reform of human formation. This is a hidden pedagogical angle of his «Kritik».
