Abstract

From the damage caused by the storm Alex at the beginning of October 2020 and the demolition of the main bridge in the town of Garessio, the reflection on the “whims” of the Tanaro river proceeds backwards, based on the evocative power of a photo of family. The anthropization of the Upper River Valley had to cope with the climatic variations that affected this region of southern Piedmont already from Roman antiquity
