The article deals with the dilemmatic constitution of the human formation between Apollonian and Dionysian. In the first place, the relationship and identity of three fundamental concepts of pedagogy is restored, that is, Bildung (formation), Erziehung (education) and Kultur (culture). After a significance of the Greek myth and its Nietzschean reading, the Apollonian and Dionysian instances are considered within a pedagogical-clinical reflection. The axial figure is the concept of transfiguration, around which revolve the dialectical categories of harmony and delirium, conformism and transgression, perception (of beauty) and liberation (of instinct), criticism and social clinic. The unity between the two cases, which perhaps resolves the dilemmatic constitution of the formation, is based on the principle of formation and on the concept of Fortbildung, which consists of taking Bildung beyond himself.
