The article offers an overview of the results of a qualitative research, carried out interviewing a sociological sample of social workers of the city of Genova, aiming to describe and understand their perceptions and attitudes about ethnic minority families and the challenges they face raising their children in the Italian society, also in the specific relations with social services, paying attention to cultural issues.
