The article deals with the concept of “Psyche” moving from an interdisciplinary perspective represented by Clinical Pedagogy and Clinical Psychology. Written by pedagogists and psychologists, both Italian and American, the article first covers the epistemological assumptions that allow Clinical Pedagogy and Clinical Psychology to establish a dialogue between different sciences. Therefore, it identifies some thematic convergences that link research in Pedagogy with research in Psychology. Lastly, it outlines how an interdisciplinary approach contributes not only to develop the respective research areas of the two sciences, but also to increasing knowledge of the human being and the forms of malaise which, at the beginning of the 21st century, distinguish it. It is a heuristic field still underdeveloped, whose theoretical and practical relevance can no longer be ignored or overlooked. Neither from Clinical Pedagogy nor from Clinical Psychology.
