The ecological distribution of 14 demosponge species belonging to the genus Haliclona, on the base of data collected by diving and by R.O.V., in the western Mediterranean Sea, is here presented. Several groups of species, well adapted to different ecological conditions along a vertical gradient, have been identified.

Abstract
The ecological distribution of 14 demosponge species belonging to the genus Haliclona, on the base of data collected by diving and by R.O.V., in the western Mediterranean Sea, is here presented.
