During the first part of XX century, the conversion of the Saints Gerolamo and Francesco church in Genoa into a library was conceived and designed by several brains. The church, a baroque chapel of the Gesuiti's college built on Strada Balbi, became the location of the University Library after complex events, and so it remained until 2015.
La ricostruzione delle vicende che hanno consentito negli anni '30 la costruzione di una struttura del tutto moderna, dai molteplici autori, destinata a ospitare sede e magazzino della Biblioteca Universitaria di Genova all'interno della sconsacrata cappella barocca dei santi Gerolamo e Francesco, già chiesa del Collegio dei Gesuiti, nella monumentale via Balbi.
