The article aims to explore the relationship between Martin Heidegger and General Pedagogy. The author tackles the relationship between human being and Being, the problem of thinking and the metaphysical question, which is witness – according to Heidegger – of a forgotten original principle. Then, the attention moves on Heidegger’s corpus philosophicum and especially on those volumes where we can find several references to pedagogy and its objects of study: formation and education of human being. In this way, the article reconstructs an eidetic map which shows how Heidegger, in his speculation, has gone through significant pedagogical topics: the greek cathegory of paideia and the latin idea of humanitas, the german concepts of Erziehung and Bildung. Just in Heidegger’s interpretation of Bildung, however, it’s possible to recognize Martin Heidegger’s pedagogical error, before which the general science of formation and education of human being has the task of developing a critical thinking.
