The author presents us the way in which the thought of Francisco de Vitoria was brought to us through the manuscripts. She keeps the classical criteria for the classification of manuscripts, presenting, afterward, what would have been the school readings of the master. She presents some of the features that a critical edition of the Vitoria lectiones should have, in order to present, then, what the manuscript transmission of the relectiones would have been, the successive edition of the sixteenth century, to introduce, afterwards, the current developments. Interestingly, as she points out in the conclusion, vitoria is a template and a model –regarding manuscripts analysis-, which can also be applied to other authors of the time. Abstract

Keywords: Francisco de Vitoria, History of Theology (15th century), Manuscripts, University of Salamanca, School of Salamanca.
