Abstract

Lesions to the anterior glenoid annulet caused by shoulder dislocation provoke a clinical condition characterized by instability of the gleno-humeral joint. Arthroscopic surgical treatment of this type of pathology makes use of new materials which improve long-term results, reducing morbidity and achieving greater respect for the periarticular and articular anatomic components. The authors describe the arthroscopic fixation technique used for the glenoid annulet utilizing Mitek G2 small anchors; in the light of their brief experience they also outline the indications for this method
