The present paper shows the results of a research carried out on Italian supportive buy groups (Gas), that are significant part of the critical and responsible consumer area. In the last years Gas have been characterised by an intense expansion, which is receiving an increasing attention by both scholars and economic media. This empirical research aims at analysing the logistical and organ- isational issues arising when a large number of orders, different good typologies and numerous suppliers are involved. It presents also some cases of evolution of Gas toward new logistical and organisational solutions.
