The new ICT technologies can play an important role in aiding motor-impaired children by cerebral palsy to overcome some operational and cognitive difficulties in the logical-linguistic field, which concern autonomous writing and semantic understanding of written texts. In this paper it has been discussed the active role that can be played by the new technologies in solving such difficulties, with the use of specific software programs (for the operational difficulties), and in supporting specific didactic strategies (for the cognitive difficulties). Then, two examples have been described which illustrate the application of these strategies to improve understanding.

Abstract
