We extend the Blanchard and Olkiewicz's definition of decoherence to open quantum systems whose dynamics are described by semigroups of positive (and not necessarily complete positive) operators on B. In particular, in the case h=C^2, we complete characterize the decomposition B=M_1+M_2 of B in the sum of a decoherence-free part M_1 and of a space M_2 on which the semigroup vanishes with time.
