Six series of N-acyl-N-Ph ureas of piperidine, and 2-ethyl-, 3-methyl-, 4-methyl-, 4-phenyl-, cis-2,6-dimethylpiperidine were synthesized and evaluated for their anti-inflammatory, anesthetic, anti-pyretic properties. Some derivs. were also assayed for anti-proliferative activity. Several compds. showed an anti-inflammatory activity comparable or slightly inferior to that of indomethacin in rats. All the compds. were devoid of anti-pyretic activity and only a few of them exhibited a low level of infiltration anesthesia in mice. One compd. (I) showed a broad spectrum anti-cancer activity (at low micromolar concns.), particularly significant against leukemia subpanel.

Abstract
One compd. (I) showed a broad spectrum anti-cancer activity (at low micromolar concns.), particularly significant against leukemia subpanel.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
