A sensitivity analysis is applied to a reliability model for fatigue life calculations of typical welded joints based on fracture mechanics. The aim is to select the most influencing parameters, before and after inspection updating. A literature survey allowed to provide an overview of the input parameter values, looking at reducing as far as possible the complexity of the numerical model and at identifying the most influencing ones.

Abstract: | A sensitivity analysis is applied to a reliability model for fatigue life calculations of typical welded joints based on fracture mechanics. The aim is to select the most influencing parameters, before and after inspection updating. A literature survey allowed to provide an overview of the input parameter values, looking at reducing as far as possible the complexity of the numerical model and at identifying the most influencing ones. |
