This article explores the key concepts of trace, memory, scar, resonance and resource, with the aim of defining their role in the critical analysis and interpretation of the (post)industrial landscape of the Bormida Valley through the Landscape Biography. This is a first step towards the understanding of the tangible and intangible legacies closely interconnected with the processes of (de)industrialization in the territory through an interdisciplinary methodology, which combines landscape and heritage studies, ethnography and territorial analysis.
