The paper analyses the Constitutional Court’s decision no. 242 of 2019 concerning assisted suicide, following the decision no. 207 of 2018 and the inactivity of the legislator. The paper examines the cases in which the Constitutional Court admits assisted suicide, as well as the problems relating to the additional requirements that the constitutional judge indicates (national health system, ethics committees and conscientious objection). Finally, some comments are made on Parliament’s future legislative intervention on the end of life matter.
