Abstract
The construction of super and megayachts has overcome the recent economic crisis by increasing the quality of the final product and by changing the main input of the entire project. The old trend of searching higher and higher speeds and performances has been overstretched by a strong focus on the comfort onboard that has to be addressed by numerical simulations since the early design stages. In this paper, the study of the noise propagation onboard a superyacht built by Italian shipyard has been assessed during the construction stages using the SEA software VaOne and the results have been lately compared with real scale measurements. The propagation of noise throughout laminated glass has been addressed with particular attention by a dynamic effective thickness equivalence.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
