Abstract

Business Model Analysis (Bma) within the Srep framework reaffirms the relevance of strategic planning and underlines the need for the bank to have an Internal Strategic Adequacy Assessment Process (Isaap). The present work aims to identify an Isaap methodology consistent with the regulator’s orientation as well as with the principles of corporate strategy. On the one hand, the proposed methodology improves the formulation of the corporate strategy and faces more effectively the supervisor’s evaluation process in the Bma.On the other, the proposal contributes to the debate on regulation effectiveness.
