Problematiche medico-legali correlate agli interventi di riconversione del sesso nelle sindromi transessuali

Transsexualism plays a particular role among abnormalities of the sexual sphere either from a nosographic point of view, since it is considered a discordance between the sexual somatic and mental types to be treated surgically or from the popular point of view, in relation to ambivalences and fantasies of metamorphosis and transgression; these problems are also found in juridical and legislative fields. In this paper the Authors, assessing the rich legislature in force in this matter, analyse the complex medical-legal procedures preliminary to surgical interventions of sexual reconversion in transsexual syndromes.
