This paper reports experimental results concerning the dielectric characterization of wood materials by using a microwave tomograph prototype. The aim is to create twodimensional maps of the complex dielectric permittivity of wood targets. The scattering data collected by the imaging system are inverted by a procedure based on an inexact-Newton method developed in Lp Banach spaces. Experimental results are reported. They show the improvement in the reconstruction accuracy achievable with respect to previously obtained results by the commonly-used regularization schemes working in Hilbert spaces.

Abstract
This paper reports experimental results concerning the dielectric characterization of wood materials by using a microwave tomograph prototype. The aim is to create twodimensional maps of the complex dielectric permittivity of wood targets. The scattering data collected by the imaging system are inverted by a procedure based on an inexact-Newton method developed in Lp Banach spaces. Experimental results are reported. They show the improvement in the reconstruction accuracy achievable with respect to previously obtained results by the commonly-used regularization schemes working in Hilbert spaces.File in questo prodotto:
