Between authors monopole and trusts of entrepreneurs : Italian theatre at the beginning of XX century The aim of this article is to investigate the phenomenon of integration in theatre industry and its protagonists in a liberal context, as it was Italy until the 20s. After an historical reconstruction of the diffusion of monopoles and trusts, two problems are discussed: how entrepreneurs contributed to the commercialisation of theatre, at the same time cause and consequence of the integration, and how the foreign word ‘trust’ has been rhetorically used by a part of the public opinion resistant to transformations.

Abstract
Between authors monopole and trusts of entrepreneurs : Italian theatre at the beginning of XX century The aim of this article is to investigate the phenomenon of integration in theatre industry and its protagonists in a liberal context, as it was Italy until the 20s. After an historical reconstruction of the diffusion of monopoles and trusts, two problems are discussed: how entrepreneurs contributed to the commercialisation of theatre, at the same time cause and consequence of the integration, and how the foreign word ‘trust’ has been rhetorically used by a part of the public opinion resistant to transformations.File in questo prodotto:
