Lessico giuridico e modello giudiziario nella favola fedriana

In the absence of the direct Greek sources, it is not easy to identify the contribution of Phaedrus to the esopic material used by him: however, certainly belonging to Phaedrus are the legal elements, sometimes even rather technical, present in his fables, in which the clash between animals takes often the movements of a real trial with accusation and defense. This presence of legal vocabulary can also be found in the tales with human protagonists, in the epilogues, in the presentation of critics as potential accusers, and also in the relationship with protectors and recipients.

In mancanza delle fonti greche dirette, non è facile identificare l'apporto di Fedro al materiale esopico da lui utilizzato: sicuramente fedriani sono però gli elementi giuridici, talvolta anche piuttosto tecnici, presenti nelle sue favole, in cui lo scontro fra animali prende spesso le movenze di un vero e proprio processo con accusa e difesa. Questa presenza di lessico giuridico è rinvenibile anche nelle favole con protagonisti umani, negli epiloghi, nella presentazione dei critici come potenziali accusatori, e anche nel rapporto con protettori e destinatari.
