Voix d’Italie: le projet d’histoire orale "Ormete"

This article presents the lines of force of the ORMETE project, a research project willing to contribute to the elaboration of a new oral memory of the theatre, focusing on the interviews of the witnesses and the methodologies of oral history. The ORMETE project originates in a long process of institutionalization of sound memory within Italian theatre, in collaboration with the Istituto centrale per i beni sonori e audiovisivi. The second part of the article concentrates on the archiving and diffusion policy of ORMETE’s oral sources and on the hypotheses concerning the oral sources’ international sharing and using. At last it presents the work in progress on the site of the Patrimonio orale databank. From the outset, creating and collecting the sources of ORMETE have developed simultaneously with the research of criteria for cataloging and putting documents online, as well as the conception of a tool for the efficient consultation of oral sources.
