In this paper some guidelines are described for a laboratory approach to address the difficulties in learning Mathematics. The main objective of this approach is to achieve a better understanding of meanings, in order to obtain useful and durable learning experiences. The proposed guidelines are of methodological nature and can be adapted to any situation of difficulty, from primary school to university. We present these guidelines through two antipodal experiences: one in the field of tutorials to support teaching in university courses of Science, and one in the lab activities to recover cognitive difficulties, also in case of disability, during primary and secondary school.

Abstract
In this paper some guidelines are described for a laboratory approach to address the difficulties in learning Mathematics. The main objective of this approach is to achieve a better understanding of meanings, in order to obtain useful and durable learning experiences. The proposed guidelines are of methodological nature and can be adapted to any situation of difficulty, from primary school to university. We present these guidelines through two antipodal experiences: one in the field of tutorials to support teaching in university courses of Science, and one in the lab activities to recover cognitive difficulties, also in case of disability, during primary and secondary school.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
