In this paper I propose a different approach to inform our normative theorization about groups and collective identity with a view to overcoming the idea of culture, which is an over-comprehensive and controversial notion. I propose a shift from a categorization based on groups to one based on normatively relevant forms of sharing. Four main types of sharing are identified: ascriptive sharing; instrumental sharing; conviction-based sharing; affiliation-based sharing.

Abstract
In this paper I propose a different approach to inform our normative theorization about groups and collective identity with a view to overcoming the idea of culture, which is an over-comprehensive and controversial notion. I propose a shift from a categorization based on groups to one based on normatively relevant forms of sharing. Four main types of sharing are identified: ascriptive sharing; instrumental sharing; conviction-based sharing; affiliation-based sharing.File in questo prodotto:
