This paper deals with direct/inverse electromagnetic scattering for imaging applications. In particular, a new approach for the forward scattering computation is proposed, which is based on a timedomain implementation of the CWA. The reconstruction process is performed by using a “qualitative” imaging method able to detect and localize buried objects. This summary provides the outline of the mathematical formulation of the approach, whereas a wide numerical analysis will be provided in the final talk.

Abstract

This paper deals with direct/inverse electromagnetic scattering for imaging applications. In particular, a new approach for the forward scattering computation is proposed, which is based on a timedomain implementation of the CWA. The reconstruction process is performed by using a “qualitative” imaging method able to detect and localize buried objects. This summary provides the outline of the mathematical formulation of the approach, whereas a wide numerical analysis will be provided in the final talk.
