This Special Issue contains selected papers presented at the 13th International Conference on Multiphase Flow5 in Industrial Plants (13th MFIP). The Conference was organized by the Italian Association of Industrial Plant Engineering (ANIMP) with the support of the ANIMP Multiphase Flow Engineering Section, the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDIC) and the Polytechnic School of the University of Genova. The aim of the 13th MFIP was to provide a forum for the discussion of industrial applications of multiphase flow technology for researchers and engineers working in different scientific and industrial sectors. Topics covered in the 13th MFIP Conference included: a) Dynamics of Multiphase Systems in Industry, b) Multiphase Mass Transfer Operations, c) Multiphase Chemical Reactors, and d) HSE Multiphase Flows. Application areas included emergency and loss prevention in oil and gas industries, pipeline integrity management in nuclear components and sub-systems, in chemical and petrochemical industries, in renewable energy operators, in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry.
