Mining activity in Liguria had a paramount importance from Prehistoric Age of the twentieth century. More than 50 mining sites are present in the four Provinces. The ligurian mining history has left an indelible imprint on the landscape either for the numerous open-air and underground mining infrastructures and for the significant evidences left by the rise and fall of mining communities in the inland. The main aim of this work is to realize a tool for the ligurian post-mining landscape recovery and valorization starting from the creation of a new database for the census of the mining sites and for their classification based on environmental, historic, architectonic, and naturalistic relevance. Thanks to this database, it will be developed a Web-Gis portal for managing and harnessing the potentiality of the mining landscape.

Abstract
Thanks to this database, it will be developed a Web-Gis portal for managing and harnessing the potentiality of the mining landscape.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
