Abstract
Especially around about the Eighteen Eighties, Italian legal culture was increasingly adopting the systematic and scientific methodology, typical of German Pandectist School, as its main foreign model of development. Italian most influential scholars of Roman and Private Law applied themselves to intensify the activity of translation and annotation of German Pandectist literature, in order to adapt it to the distinctive features of Italian legal background. The Italian version of Ausführliche Erläuterung der Pandekten, the commentary written by Christian Friedrich von Glück which represented the meeting point between usus modernus Pandectarum and the Pandectist science, is an integral part of this project. Under the supervision of the editors Filippo Serafini and Pietro Cogliolo, the Italian translators were able to revise and update the commentary by increasing its practical feature, so that it could be profitably used by Italian legal practice of that time.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
