The elaboration of the catalogue of the Botanica Farden of Genoa is almost completed. Historical documents of the garden reveal the presence, along the two cwnturies of its life, of different informal attempts to write down a list of the cultivated plants. Viviani, De Notaris and Penzig supported the numeric increase of life collections throughout enlargement and reneval works more than other directors, but they never arrived to issue an official catalogue. After many years of work, catalogation of the taxa, living at present in the garden, is nearly completed and it is possible to deduce the floristic and corological data about the live collections.
