The analysis of the hospital care setting highlights the growing importance of the Emergency Departments within the Italian healthcare system; then, the present work aims to investigate the inappropriateness phenomena in managing these Departments, firstly studying the main characteristics of this occurrence through a statistic analysis in order to offer an economic evaluation of the connected cost.
