The results of a review of Stanmore hip arthroplasties implanted between 1973 and 1982 are reported. Of 317 cases operated, 157 were followed up, clinical and radiographic aspect being evaluated for each of them. Analysis of the results highlights first of all that, more than 10 years later, the clinical opinion of the operated hips is positive in 55% of cases (18.5% excellent; 15.3% very good; 21% good), while 25% of results were unsatisfactory (18.5% poor, 6.5% bad). X.ray examination, which only in 6% is unchanged compared to post-operative control, does not always agree with clinical results. Cases of mobilization of one of the prosthetic components without clinical symptomatology are frequent.

Abstract
Cases of mobilization of one of the prosthetic components without clinical symptomatology are frequent.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
