Abstract
A nonlinear fracture mechanics model is applied along with linear elastic fracture mechanics solutions to analyze the flexural behavior of different composite materials. A cracked cross section of a beam in bending is considered and the constitutive flexural relationship is evaluated, on varying the mechanical and geometrical properties. The influence of material composition on the structural behavior as well as the size--scale effects are studied.File in questo prodotto:
