Magnetic and thermodynamic measurements, performed on the Dy3Co8Sn4 intermetallic phase, give evidence of a transition to the ferrimagnetic state below 73 K. From the hysteresis cycle at 5 K the remanence (B-r = 0.36 T) and the coercive field (H-c = 0.25 T) were obtained. Frequency dependence of the AC susceptibility and temperature dependence of the coercive field support the hypothesis of domain wall movements.

Abstract
