Maxi yachts are very special products whose manufacturing is made possible thanks to the ability of craftsmen competent to satisfy the requirement of ship owner. Rigging and specifically furnishing is a fundamental activity that characterises the yacht and the owner affluence. This process rarely pursues efficiency and cost criteria; on an average it accounts for 30% of the whole yacht cost. Abstract

This paper presents a new approach for the management and coordination of the fitting phase to improve the man-power efficiency, to reduce costs and delivery time. The proposed work organisation was tested on a 120 ft motor yacht.
