Abstract. Let V be an algebraic variety in the affine r-space and let A be the associated ideal in C[X1,…, Xn]. In this note we study how the hypersurfaces defined by the generators of the ideal touch along the variety V. Our work extend to h>2 hypersurfaces the results concerning 2 hypersurfaces.
