Gemini MKII (Link GmbH & Co. - Hamburg) is one of the most recent device s among mobile bearing total knee prosthesis, in which poly bearing can rotate and translate over the metal tibial component surface (asymmetrically shaped), with the restriction of its housing in a special track. In this study, we reported the results of 34 consecutive Gemini total knee prosthesis performed at the Orthopedic Department of Genoa University in 12 male and 22 female patients. The surgical procedure were carried out under spinal anaesthesia with medial parapatellar approach and a tourniquet at the affected limb root. No intra-operative complications occurred. At the current follow-up examination, the preliminary results were very satisfying as far as it is concerned either pain resolution or range of motion.
