This article is a history of a metaphor of fireflies and is also a review of Didi Huberman's book Survivance des Lucioles on Walter Benjamin and dialectical images. Fireflie's metaphor is used by Pier Paolo Pasolini in Scritti Corsari but D. Huberman forget an important political revisitation of this metaphor by Leonardo Sciascia and the Braudel's use of this metaphor in his theory of history.
