A new conversion system for small size hybrid electric vehicles has been studied, aiming at the optimization of the energy flows among the generating and storage devices and the traction motor and looking for the maximization of the energetic efficiency of the whole conversion chain. A reduced scale prototype has been developed and the main results that have been obtained are shown.

Abstract
