The presented research is related to support the development of a virtual world for a network of simulators devoted to cooperative training. Such a system operates in a synthetic Environment based on a High Level Architecture which integrates full motion simulators and low-cost training workstations. Starting from these basis, it is possible to apply distributed simulation to a relevant number of entities and proceed with low-cost training sessions in cooperative operations in intermodal terminals.
