We develop a measure-theoretic approach to the invariants of L-functions in the general framework of the Selberg class. In particular, we prove a 0-1 law for the admissible values of multiplicative and additive invariants; in the special case of the degree, this result supports Selberg's degree conjecture.

Abstract
