The aim of this paper is to analyse labour inclusion paths of migrant women from a particular point of view: work experiences of those foreigner women, once forced to prostitution, who have jointed social protection programmes. Usually, western labour markets deserve to migrant women almost exclusively jobs related to housework and care. Although, these kind of jobs seems to be not suited to women who went through prostitution, as they are not considered as real-jobs. Prostitution, especially if forced, damage one’s identity, therefore fallowing inclusion paths required jobs able to guarantee a strong social identity. For this reason, social workers involved in social protection programmes, have recently started to look for alternative labour inclusion paths. This paper is focused on positive and negative aspects of these new labour opportunities, analysis based on the results of two qualitative field researches conducted respectively in Milan and Genoa.
