his study proposes a pragmatic-enunciative analysis of Internet memes on pension reform. It begins by presenting the notions of spreadability and authority that underlie the problem we are addressing, concerning the reasons for sharing memes and their role in the spread of online activism around socio-political controversies. Secondly, it will be shown that the argumentative effectiveness of memes is largely based on an extreme concentration of points of view, at least one of which occupies a position of superiority in relation to the others. This position is based either on enunciative sources to which the POS is attributed, or on recourse to the enunciative regime of particitation, which encourages any user to take charge. This condensation of points of view, based on the icono-textual dynamics at play in a restricted space, helps to explain at least in part the reasons for the success of this genre in socio-numerical networks and their role in the dissemination of widely shared opinions.
