This paper presents a filtering method to clean the backscattered signal received by a reader of frequency-coded cross-polarized chipless RFID tags. The proposed approach eases an automatic decoding of the received signal, and it is based on a proper time-frequency representation. Preliminary tests with both simulated and experimental data support the developed method.
