Abstract

The paper proposes a different exegesis of TLond, 30, a tabula cerata found at Londinium and edited by Roger Tomlin. The comparison with Mart. 1.76.5-6, Petr. Sat. 76 and with a tablet from Vindonissa helps us to better understand the meaning of the expressions ‘per forum totum gloriantur se te faenerasse’ and ‘Dabis Tito Aviarius’ inscribed graphio on the outer face and on the inner face of the tablet, containing a correspondence between private individuals.
