Narrative analysis permits a suggestive approach in order to read Peter’s first speech in the Book of Acts. This speech plays the role of «macro-complication» in the plot of the pericope (Ac 1,15-26), containing the complication, i.e. the ci- tation of Psalm 109, the Scripture that has to be fulfilled. In this article, the fo- cus is on underlining Lukan narrative and rhetorical devices in the speech com- position, especially the partition function of the citations of the Psalms, the use of ekphrasis in Judas’ portrait and the use of Davidic typology to justify the ci- tation of Psalm 109 and its relationships with Psalm 69. Furthermore, it is noted the importance of the speech in the development of Peter’s characterization and for understanding Peter’s point of view.

Abstract
Furthermore, it is noted the importance of the speech in the development of Peter’s characterization and for understanding Peter’s point of view.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
