Luzi antologista della Commedia

Luzi as an athologist of the Commedia · This essay provides a few reflections of the critical-hermeneutical attitude of Luzi as a poet-anthologist of Dante’s Commedia. Taking inspiration from some works that act as collections of passages from Dante’s poem – both mutually systematised and provided with a set of illustrations, such as those by painter Venturino Venturi – this essay will try to trace the reasons and intentions that inspired Luzi’s choice. In the attempt to trace the guidelines behind such selection, special attention will be focused on the relations that the pieces of the mosaic build among them on a case-by-case basis and the connections and potential readings that, in such interaction, they establish within Dante’s poem.
