In this paper, I propose to undertake a critical analysis of Joseph Raz's Service Conception, focusing on the condition of normal justification. In section 2, I will undertake an articulated reconstruction of the Service Conception by first apart the theses that compose it and showing how they are articulated among themselves (2.1, 2.2, 2.3). I will then propose a version of the content of the "test of legitimacy" that emerges from Raz's position to determine the legitimacy of an authority (2.4). In section 3, I will raise some questions about the justification of (political) authority on the basis of the normal justification condition, relating to the obscurity inherent in the evaluation of the normal justification condition (3.1), the (non-)existence of a sure way to verify the normal justification condition (3.2), and an assessment of the (non-)necessity of the normal justification condition for practical political authorities (3.3). Finally, in section 4, I will offer a few concluding remarks.

Abstract
Finally, in section 4, I will offer a few concluding remarks.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
