Abstract

In hypoxic ischemic brain injury (HIBI), increased intracranial pressure (ICP) can ensue from cerebral edema stemming from cytotoxic and vasogenic mechanisms. Downstream sequelae of restricted cerebral blood flow lead to neurologic braindeath.
